Restoring a Complex Multi-Section Roof with Acrylabs: All Weather Pro Takes on Huntington, NY

When you’re dealing with decades of patch jobs, multiple additions, and failing substrates, a simple overlay isn’t going to cut it. That is exactly what All Weather Pro discovered on a recent restoration project in Huntington, New York, which is why they turned to the Acrylabs liquid-applied roofing system to restore these office buildings.

Check out this video showing the process!

From Patchwork Problems to a True Restoration Plan

The property consisted of several old office structures built over many years, each with different roof elevations and materials. Previous contractors had installed floating TPO membranes and performed many temporary repairs, but water continued to seep underneath the system, soaking insulation and causing leaks throughout.

All Weather Pro took a full-restoration approach: removing the failing membranes, pulling up wet and deteriorated insulation, and going down to a clean, dry deck. From there, they reset and secured the new insulation with screw-and-plate fasteners for long-term stability and reshaped drainage paths to move water efficiently off the roof.

Smart Re-Pitching for an Aging Building

Because the building had been expanded multiple times, re-pitching the entire roof wasn’t feasible. Instead, the crew created strategic valleys and angles to direct water away from trouble areas without major structural changes. Overgrown foliage and debris around the roof edges were also cleared to prevent future damage and ensure a clean working surface.

Liquid-Applied Protection Built to Last

Once the surface was pre-sealed, including seams, penetrations, and transitions, All Weather Pro began installing the Acrylabs membrane. After curing, the system will receive two full finish coats, delivering 10 to 15 years of renewed performance and a watertight, highly durable liquid-applied roof system that is designed to handle complex structures like this one.

Why Liquid-Applied Roofing Made the Difference

For buildings with:

  • Multiple roof sections

  • Aging substrates

  • Complicated details

  • Long-term water intrusion

…the Acrylabs liquid-applied membrane eliminates seams, adapts to irregular structures, and bonds directly to the prepared substrate, creating a continuous waterproofing system where traditional membranes fall short.
